Interested in following your thoughts on this more. I am looking to continue my education (and move across the pay columns) and was thinking that MU’s online teaching endorsement would be a good fit for me at this stage. Good luck!!

I think your blog is just what I need! I am a new to the library para educator. However, I don’t work with a librarian. A library supervisor comes in once a week for a half hour to an hour to go over things with me. I am learning every phase of the library. I have 24 years working with students so I have the handle on the kidos but I would like to teach more research skills.

    • Thank you for your kind words, and I’m glad to be of help! Running a great library program is very challenging at times. If you haven’t already, I’d suggest looking into a school library certification program in your state. Learning about the field, including our collective professional values and information literacy models, will help you in your new position.
