Secondary School Library Lesson Plan Templates

Description

A set of 7 ready-made lesson plan templates specifically designed for secondary school librarians, teacher-librarians, and/or school library media specialists teaching grades 6 through 12 (middle school, junior high, and high school).

IMPORTANT! These documents are NOT complete lesson plans on a given topic or subject! They are a customizable tool to create and/or modify your own lesson plans.

This 55-page lesson organization product is completely editable, and includes:

7 Lesson Plan Templates, one (1) for each grade level below:

• 6th Grade
• 7th Grade
• 8th Grade
• 9th Grade
• 10th Grade
• 11th Grade
• 12th Grade

Each lesson template is editable in Microsoft Word .docx file format with spaces for the following components:

• Date
• Lesson Title
• Objectives
• Big Ideas and Essential Questions from the Pennsylvania Library Model Curriculum
• Standards, including:
  • National Common Core ELA Standards,
  • Pennsylvania Core ELA Standards, and
  • 2018 AASL National School Library Standards for Learners
• Assessments, including possible choices
• Materials
• Procedure
• Reflection
• Bibliography of Resources Used

If you aren’t familiar with the PA Library Model Curriculum, check it out at http://www.pdesas.org under the Curriculum tab.

All you need to do to create a customized lesson plan is delete the pieces that don’t apply to the lesson you are creating, and add your own Materials and Procedure.

Please Note: Not all of the standards are included, just the ones that are most applicable to library and information fluency instruction.
