Land acknowledgment:
My business, Mrs. J in the Library LLC, is located in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. As I live, work, and tend my garden on this land, I acknowledge that I am on the ancestral lands of the Susquehannock and Lenapehoking (Lenni-Lenape) peoples. My commitment to grow some of my own food, avoid pesticides, and let rainwater nourish the soil is a small but meaningful way to honor their enduring legacy of stewardship. I recognize that my actions to care for this place are part of a continuous relationship with these lands and waters, and I strive to walk with respect and gratitude for the sustenance they provide.
