These 5 library lessons teach students how the library works, behavior expectations, book care skills, and more!

Each week, you read aloud one of the picture book recommendations, and after listening to the story, students check out books and complete one of the activities. You can also review library behavior and/or book care later in the school year using the same lessons and activities with a different book.

This library orientation unit has over 300 slides & pages, and it includes:

Each of the 5 lessons in this bundle have:

• Recommended books to read aloud for each week’s lesson
• Between 1 and 4 Printable Response Activities for students to complete after checking out books
• 1 or 2 Digital Student Activities for each book to assess student learning
• Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Grade Lesson Plan in Google Docs format
• Directions and Teacher Notes to help you use this lesson and post it in Google Classroom or other elearning platforms

All activities and lesson plans are editable in either Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Google Docs, so you can customize them for your needs.
