Learning to write citations or a bibliography for research is difficult for many elementary and middle school students. These “help sheets” (not cheat sheets) and mini poster will remind your students how to cite their resources for any research activity.

There are many ways to use these tutorial sheets and poster:

  1. Edit and print the help sheets for students to refer to at a library center when they investigate a research question
  2. Include the printed sheets in a research packet when collaborating with a classroom teacher for a project
  3. Hang up the mini poster in several places around your library for easy access
  4. Share them through your own Google Classroom, SeeSaw, or other online learning platform for students to refer back to as they do a research project or center
    • IMPORTANT: You may not share this resource with other teachers or post it in their online classes, unless you purchase multiple licenses.

All of the tutorial/help sheets and posters include citation examples for books / ebooks, online research databases (e.g. Pebble Go, World Book, etc.), and other websites. MyBib.com is recommended for building citations and a bibliography if students can’t find one in the information source.
